Rewards App in Customer Mode

Customer mode retains many of the same features that standard mode has but is focused on customer-driven interactions.

Customer Mode

This mode is focused on customer-driven interactions. There are several key differences from the default standard mode: 

  1. The ability to earn points is removed from the available workflows 
  2. The customer has the ability to self-check in and can check their points balance and rewards options 
  3. A customer cannot redeem rewards through this process - it must be done via an alternate mode like operator mode or standard mode

Customer Check-In

If a customer would like to check in: 

  1. Customer enters their phone number by using the keypad
  2. The customer then taps the ‘check-in’ button 
  3. The customer will be presented with a summary of their points and available rewards to choose from. The customer can then interact with store operators to redeem items. 
  4. When the customer is done, they can tap the ‘done’ button to return to the home screen. 

If a customer does not press the ‘done’ button or is inactive for a short time, a countdown will begin. The customer can tap the screen to get rid of the timer. If no action is taken, the customer will be automatically logged out once the countdown finishes.

Switch out of Customer Mode or Logout 

By default, the settings button is locked when the app is in customer mode. To unlock the device and gain access to the settings screen: 

  1. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen
  2. Enter your user password (the same password used to log into the app) and tap ‘ok’ 
  3. This will unlock the settings button and present two options: 
    1. Settings. Tap this to access the app settings 
    2. Logout. Tap this to log out of the app
